My favorite part of working as an artist right now is the opportunity I get to hear wonderful, rich stories of peoples’ memories of the places I paint. I look forward to hearing your special story and producing a treasured memento for you and your family that will last for generations.

My process begins with research of the site and its significance. For locations in or around Orange County, California I typically like to take my own high resolution photographs at different hours of daylight. It is important that I work from high quality images with minimal distractions and good lighting. I will then discuss options with you for composition before beginning some rough draft sketches. Next, I will give you an opportunity for feedback on my rough drafts before beginning work on the final watercolor painting.

I work primarily with pencil and professional artist grade watercolor paints and paper. I provide matting in white or black complementary, but other matting options can be available with an added fee for materials. I use only high quality professional art materials to ensure that my artwork will be enjoyed for generations.

Once I begin work you can expect the process to take 3-5 weeks depending on the size of the piece, the complexity, and my workload. Clear timelines will be laid out before work begins. Once the work is complete, I will share photographs with you, mat the artwork, and ship it to you safely.
